What'sssss up. It's me. back from LIGHTBOX EXPO 2024!!!! where i got to hang out with my partner. Awesome :)

i don't have much to talk about in regards to it, because i plan on making a video about my experience of the event itself. so i present to you:

MY REVIEW OF ALL FOOD I ATE DURING THIS TRIP:

CHICKEN TENDERS AND FRIES WITH RANCH:

this photo is actually from day three, we got them twice and i forgot to photograph them the first time. but they were the first thing we dove for after arriving to the expo since we were hungry from all the travel.

simple but effective. the ranch really ties it together. i really don't care much for ketchup these days. 8/10

GYOZA:

for dinner, we were too tired to go out, so we just ordered in. the sushistop near the convention center was our lifeline last year, so why not give it another go?

it's gyoza. it hit the spot. perfect amount to split. 7/10

PANCAKES AND HAM:

hotel breakfast! just something quick to get ourselves going for the day.

average, not in a bad way. the syrup really made the pancake a lot better. 6/10

PHO:

heaven is real and it's ginger & spice in pasadena.

this was the one meal i KNEW I had to take apollo to. he told me before the trip he had never had pho before. I had to change that. and Oh how it changed.

so delicious. finished just about the entire bowl. will gladly go back next year. 10/10

CHIPS:

it's chips. we wanted to get tacos the night of day two, but the place we wanted to go to was closed. SAD!

also, this photo is from day three. on day two apollo just grabbed cheddar chips + jalapeño chips. average. not really a meal, but is food. 5/10

BAGEL:

we wanted a chocolate croissant, but turns out everyone attending lightbox was at this cafe this morning, so a bagel it was.

the bagel was a bagel. we also got a meximocha to share. the meximocha was delightful but i had to leave it to apollo to drink most of, caffeine is really bad for me. 8/10

ONION RINGS & PIZZA:

this was my favorite meal in terms of the experience at the restaurant. the pho was my favorite FOOD, but oh what an EXPERIENCE this was.

these onion rings were a great appetizer while we waited for our pizza while listening to all the sports fans go crazy in the bar. i also got a drink since i'm old enough for alcohol now:

a watermelon mojito. yummy. was very useful in helping me laugh my ass off at all the sports fans screaming instead of get startled by it since usually i'm as high strung as a prey animal.

and then, the pizza:

average. not in a bad way! i think i'm just picky about my pizza. apollo really liked it. my half was the olives, his was the pepperoni.

overall ranking: 8/10. you'll notice i give a lot of things high ratings. i'm easy to please.

AND FINALLY... CHOCOLATE CROISSANT & MACARONS:

delightful way to end our trip. the only downside is i ignore my own health problems constantly, the chocolate in the croissant irritated my throat really bad, and the cafe au lait i was drinking made me have such a bad tachycardia episode i had to take my meds earlier than usual.

my own mistakes aside, wonderful food. 7/10

like i said, expect a new video soon-ish going over more about the trip. SPEAKING OF VIDEOS-

i'm helping socks edit his balloon smp streams into youtube highlights!!!

balloon smp has been really awesome to get to watch over the past month, so i'm Ecstatic to get to make it more viewable for people unwilling to sit through hours of streams LOL. i hope you'll give it a chance!

okay this is way more text than i'm used to writing for journal entries. see you whenever i make that lightbox video, i plan on recording for it soon. you'll get to hear a lot more about my experience in that :)c see you 🫶💙🌈⛅
