  • my current persona is the blue dragon you see around on this website. they're also named arc. they're a big dragon who lives in a little critter village and loves taking naps and playing and having fun ^_^

THE SITE:

my website is inspired by many websites i'd frequent as a kid; my friend described my current layout as "nick jrs super old flash games website" which i took as a very high compliment.

i'm always striving to learn new artforms outside of my usual 2d digital visual art. i also don't like most modern web design. i want things to be colorful and tacky and SILLY. so! i picked up html tutorials and now here we are ^_^

plus, the more i kept learning about coding, the more... euphoric? it felt? for it to pay off with a whole website built exactly the way i wanted it to look. my last major update was OKAY, but THIS one ACTUALLY looks like the mock up sketches i did in ms paint to figure out what i wanted. and that makes me SO PROUD of myself X)

so! this website is an ever changing art project, inspired by my love for art as a whole. even if i'm not posting full on art tutorials or anything, i am a firm believer in seeing the artistic value in EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING gets added to your mental inspiration bank. a nice movie you saw. a beautiful sight you saw on a walk. some good food you ate. It all fuels the artistic heart. And i hope the contents of this website can maybe inspire you too!!!!!

for a few quick technical details: designed on a 1920 x 1080 monitor but SHOULD scale properly to most other displays; i'm pretty sure i got it working well for most displays unless if you're browsing from like... a 500x500 px screen or smaller. i figured out vertical squish and horizontal squish, Less so both at the same time LOL. i also cannot guarantee it looking good on displays any larger than 1920 x 1080. i coded it entirely by scratch, just studying various tutorials and browsing the source code of various other sites i like to figure out how certain things work. :)c

ARTSY STUFF:

i am a multi-talented individual! i consider myself an artist, animator, video editor, audio engineer, and several other forms of art that i do less often, so i don't use them as titles :P

i've been interested in creative things for as long as i can remember. like, really. i've just always been drawn towards the act of creating. i can't live without it!

i use the following for my Creative Endeavors:

  • Drawing: Clip Studio Paint (computer and mobile)
  • Animating: Toon Boom Harmony, sometimes Adobe Animate and Toonsquid (ios)
  • Editing: Adobe Premiere Pro , occasionally Adobe After Effects

INTERESTS:

  • General: console modification, custom keyboards, rhythm games, internet culture and history, animation and motion graphics, furry communities, pet sim games, colorful aesthetics, worldbuilding, character analysis, plush collecting, various crafts
  • Games: Pokemon, Mario, Sonic (including EXEs and other horror- i love rewrite, pendrive, pace, exe/faker, and of course our beloved x), Pikmin, Undertale/Deltarune, Sam and Max, Kirby, Ace Attorney, FFXIV, Henry Stickmin, Slay the Princess, Needy Streamer Overload, Puyo Puyo, The Binding of Isaac, Toontown, Professor Layton, A Hat in Time, Mii games in general
  • Music: i used to list specific artists i listen to but got shy. so instead just know that i tend to gravitate towards rock, rap, experimental, breakcore, honestly electronic/dance genres in general, vocaloid and as a result jpop/jrock from various producers i grew up listening to, AND i can never shake my nerdcore roots. can you listen to sinister minds if you haven't please
